Are you looking for a church home? Are you needing a boost in your Christian faith? Are you interested in pursuing membership at First Assembly? If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then this is the class for you. Three 4-week units - Foundations for Life, Family for Life, and Spiritual Gifts for Life - will help you discover how you can better connect to God, others, and the ministry He has designed for you!
Unit 1 - Foundations for Life (4 weeks)
On your journey of discovery, this unit will help you understand many of the foundational beliefs of our church. You will also begin to build a solid foundation for your life by coming to understand the basic Christian beliefs of salvation, healing, the return of Jesus Christ, and the role of the Holy Spirit.
Unit 2 - Family for Life (4 weeks)
This four-week unit will help you discover what it means to be involved with God’s family, the church. During this unit you will come to grips with the following: 1.) Understanding the role of the church, 2.) Identifying your responsibility within the church, and 3.) Realizing the importance of church membership and the privileges it affords. The church was designed by God for mankind, and you will find a “family for life” by partnering with it.
Unit 3 - Spiritual Gifts for Life (4 weeks)
This unit is specifically tailored to help you discover the “gifts” that God has given to you. Each of us has been given special abilities by God to help carry on the work of the church. Before you leave this unit, you will understand what those special abilities and talents are. You will also be empowered to put those gifts to work in the ministries of the church.
Those seeking First Assembly membership need to attend all three units before their membership application will be processed.
