Discovery Land Kids' Ministries
Here at First Assembly, we love children!  Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”  It is our desire to create an atmosphere where kids fall in love with God and make commitments to live for him the rest of their lives.  All of our programs are specifically designed to reach and teach kids at their level, drawing them closer to God every week.

Children's Check-in Center
Your child’s safety and security is important to us, so we’ve established a Children’s Check-In Center (Room 104) for all of our families to go through before attending their class. Click here for a map!

Nursery
We provide quality care for children during all our weekend services and Wednesday activities.  This nurturing atmosphere is available to all infants, up to 2 years old.

Early Childhood
With classes specially designed for our preschoolers, they are sure to want to come back!  These classes are available during our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities for children 2 years old-kindergarten.

Kids Church
While our Kids Church is designed to look a lot like our adult service, it is packed with singing, puppets, games and more.  Our goal is to see each child experience the presence of God in a real way.  This service is open to all kids grades 1-5.

MOPS
(Mothers of Preschoolers) – September through May

Discovery Zones
On Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm, we gather in the Children's Worship Center for worship and a message before breaking into our small groups. We enhance the message through discussion and prayer.

JBQ
Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) is a great way to memorize the Bible and have fun doing it.  With 576 questions and answers from the Bible, our Kindergarten through 6th grade children will compete in monthly quiz meets, along with weekly practices, that will not only help them memorize scripture, but also teach them good sportsmanship and the value of friendly competition.

Special Events
Throughout the year, we offer several special events for children and families which include a Giant Easter Egg Hunt, VBS (Vacation Bible School), a kids retreat, and Kids Camp, which is one of the most dynamic experiences for your child.  These events are fun and are helpful in building lifelong relationships.
