Pastors

Pastor Dan Dangerfield has been the children’s pastor at First Assembly since May of 2003. He and his wife, Sara, oversee all the ministries for children aged newborn through grade 5.

Dan grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota and his family began attending First Assembly when he was in fifth grade. Throughout his junior and senior high years, Dan’s love for ministry to children grew as he became more and more heavily involved in the children’s department. Dan served in Kids Church, helped with crusades, and worked with the Junior Bible Quiz program. He attended North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Children’s Ministry.

Dan and Sara have been married since May of 2004 and their first child, Anna Joy, was born in October of 2008. They live in Moorhead and have two cats, Snickers and Nala. Dan and Sara love leading children in worship, watching them get filled with the Holy Spirit, and training others to minister to kids. They have traveled to numerous cities, conducting camps and crusades for hundreds of children.

Dan enjoys watching the Minnesota Twins and making people laugh, while Sara enjoys drawing and teaching violin lessons. They both share a passion for shopping and traveling to Minneapolis.
